Sabriel - Feature Film

Sorry for not posting last night, things were rather hectic.

As you know, I'm writing a film version of 'Sabriel' by Garth Nix. I am currently in the process of setting up a UK wide casting call for actors, actressess, crew & extra's, and hopefully I will have a website up soon, so you can check out the lastest news on that.

I will also release the Press Release Script soon, as I have had alot of interest from independant sponsors and companies. 'Sabriel' is sure to be big, so for any extended information please contact me on: timbullock61@hotmail.com

Leigh Mary Stokes - Music Video

Hey guys, just a quick update.

The filming of Leigh Mary Stokes @ The Perfect 5th, Taunton, has been cancelled due to unforeseen errors, however, we are rescheduling to shoot a staged performance video in the first quarter of 2010, and I am also in talks regarding a Live Performance DVD shoot, but talks are ongoing.

I will post later today as to the latest goings on with 'SABRIEL', so keep coming back (:

Sabriel - Feature Film

Hey guys,

Sorry for not keeping you posted as to the goings on at the moment.

I guess the only news I have at the moment is my feature film 'Sabriel', an adaptation of 'Sabriel' by Garth Nix. If you are familiar with Nix's work, then you'll understand the Fantasy Horror in 'Sabriel'. It is well worth a read.

Anyway, I have nearly finished the script for 'Sabriel', so I will allow certain people to view it for their opinion.

If you want to be one to read it before anyone else, please email me: timbullock61@hotmail.com

Leigh Mary Stokes - Music Video

Hey all, just a quick update, as there isnt much to write about. Things are well under way for Leigh Mary Stokes' music video, on December 2nd. As I'm not going to tell you what the Music Video theme and style is, I will leave it down to you to make your own interpretations with the below image.

Leigh Mary Stokes - Music Video

I have received confirmation from the headline act, Chris Helmes' people, that we are able to film on December 2nd.

We have also been asked to film the whole set, including Chris Helmes, so I am currently talking with both parties regarding this matter.

I am planning to hand over Leigh's music video on December 18th, with the performance et being released some time in the first quarter of 2010. But I will post when I release the Music Video.

Leigh Mary Stokes - Music Video

LEIGH MARY STOKES' debut music video is now underway. I am currently waiting for confirmation from the venue and headline act, but once I have confirmation, I can get into storyboarding. Although I and the crew are filming the live gig, which can be some what unpredictable, we are also hoping to spend the day with Leigh as she hangs out in Taunton, to capture some 'behind the scenes' footage to impliment into the Music Video.

The track has not yet been decided by the record label, but if you wish to hear some of her tracks go to: www.leighmarystokes.co.uk or alternativly, if you're in the area;

Falling Forward - Music Video & Graphic Design

As earlier than planned, I can release the final designs for Falling Forward's debut EP. Please click the image below for full size. (:

Falling Forward - Music Video & Graphic Design

As you probably know from a previous post, I mentioned a band which didnt have a name...well now they do. They are a Pop-Metal trio from Leamington Spa, and I have been assigned the role of Manager for the band. They are a new group who are recording their first EP before christmas.

As manager, I am taking control and seizing this oppotunity to create graphics and a music video for them. Im hoping that with this I can extend my portfolio even further that I originally planned to for when I finish college.

The main article today is the release of the rough designs of the EP Cover. It is planned to be called "This City" and will be released as a Limited Edition CD of 25.

Below is the Design Pack that the band chose for the EP, and I am currently working on the final design, to be released within the next two weeks.

Leigh Mary Stokes - Music Video

I am currently in talks with Record Label ONE ABOVE RECORDS, regarding a music video for LEIGH MARY STOKES when she performs in Taunton on the 2nd December.

Hopefully, if all goes well, it will be my second music video that I will produce, so keep an eye out for more updates coming soon

Flash Echo Fire - Music Video - The Aftermath

So as you all know now, Flash Echo Fire's debut music video for the EP Title Track Invincible is now live, and earlier than first thought. There will be two versions of this Music Video, both Official, but one tailored to what the band wanted, and one tailored to my thoughts, though they are similar.

Both have the same set, a performace based video, with pretty much the same camera shots and edit techniques, though the band version (soon to be up on their to be YouTube page) differs with less abstract lighting and still imagry.

The editing took a total of 72 hours, production within 2 hours. It was a mammoth task for me to undertake, and I have learnt alot. There will deffinatly be aot more music videos coming up in the near future. I have a couple more lined up with Flash Echo Fire, and I'm in the midst of talking with a band who's name I am not able to announce...because they dont have one....

Well anyways. There are alot more music based projects coming up. BUT the big news is my short film "Sabriel". Its been kept under-wraps for the past 4 months, but its now under way.

The film, originally to be a short film, is a book adaptation of Garth Nix's thriller "Sabriel". The novel is set in two neighbouring fictional countries: To the south lies Ancelstierre, which has a technology level and society similar to that of early-20th century England, and to the north lies the Old Kingdom, where magic works and dangerous spirits roam the land — a fact officially denied by the government of Ancelstierre and disbelieved by most of Ancelstierre's inhabitants. (Those who live near the border know the truth of it, especially on days when the wind is blowing out of the Old Kingdom.) These dangerous spirits range from undead corpses known as Dead Hands to supernatural beings known as Free Magic elementals.

These living Dead are raised by Necromancers, or black magicians, who roam the Old Kingdom or live in Death, using Hands to do their bidding. To remedy the problem of dangerous, living dead, there is always a sorcerer with the title of Abhorsen, who is essentially a Necromancer himself (or herself), only in the reverse; he puts the dead to rest. At the time of Sabriel, it is her father, Terciel, who has the job of controlling the endless dead creatures doing evil deeds around the Wall, especially difficult since a new evil seems to be rising.

When the current Abhorsen is overcome by one such evil, he sends his bells and sword to his daughter Sabriel, who is being raised in an Ancelstierre school, out of reach of those who might try to strike at her father through her. She must return to the Old Kingdom to rescue her father and prevent the evil's return.

Alot of reading, I know, and Im sorry

Woking II - The Aftermath

Hey guys,

I have just this second come back from my filming session at Woking. And can I just say, it was amazing.
From the looks of the fottage which I saw on the train home, this DVD is set to be an epic one (:

The turnout was rather good, about 30 in each class, ranging from 8 - 30. All put through their paces, with many being begginers, they learnt the basics in two hours, coached by Teige, Callum and Joe.

So stay tuned for more updates

OH, the image above is the finished DVD Cover

Woking II - Worldwide JAM Workshop

Following the recent success of Worldwide JAM Woking I Workshop on the 2nd May, with over 40 practitioners turning up, I will be attending the Woking II Workshop on the 6th June.

This 'assignment' will have me capturing all the action from the two, two hour sessions on the day, to be implimented into a short film explaining what the Worlwide JAM workshops are all about, user feedback and coaching.

I have set myself a deadline of June 18th for the 'film' to be completed, so I will post here when I have finished the product, hopefully with a link to either a YouTube version or a link to it on the Worldwide JAM Website.

Updates: Worldwide JAM & Recent Write-Up

Hey guys,

I have now been signed up to the Worldwide JAM media crew, A global resource for Parkour & Freerunning.
Although there have been rumors in the pipline regarding Worldwide JAM and corruption, I can assure you that Worldwide JAM is not corrupt, nor does it see Urban Freeflow as competiton.

'I think there must be something on forums elsewhere about WJ asking for financial contributions when people want to get involved. This is most definitely NOT the case. WJ is self liquidating, always was, always will be.'

Andrew Smith
Worldwide JAM

Hopefully we should be having a few more members of the UK Parkour Scene signing up to help manage Worldwide JAM, breathing new light to the UK Scene.
_________________________________________________________

In regards to recent happenings, Yeovil went down a storm, quite literally, but unfortunatly, the weather was to horrendous to film in, so nothing coming out from the Yeovil scene quite yet.

St Albans was epic to say the least, so as a sort of thanks to the guys who have put up with me, I am making a short film on Parkour in St Albans. So keep your eyes peeled for that.

If anything else arrises regarding the Worldwide JAM situation, or any other situation for that matter, I will let you all know as soon as I can.

New Look

I will be rolling out some more designs when I get around to it

St Albans: 18th April

I will, again, be travelling up to St Albans to start work on another showreel, this time, for the whole community of Herts Parkour.

It is planned to be a substantially long showreel, and I will hopefully feature most if not all of the Herts Parkour traceurs.

Filming will take place over two days, for some truely epic shots and a generally warm feeling video. So keep your eyes peeled

Miffy

Yeovil: 15th April

Tomorrow (15th), I will be in Yeovil preparing for what could be my last video of my home community of Traceurs and Freerunners.

The Yeovil Parkour community was where all this began. When me and my best friend Alex, created Yeovil Parkour, we made video after video, but looking back, they were rather crap.

But since then, I have flourished behind the camera, with showreels comming out from both ears, and more on the drawing board.

Next up for showreels is Jarrad, a Freerunner from the Bristol area. So filming for that should commence in 2/3 weeks.

Thats it for now,
